Short answer

Mobile headlight restoration means the technician brings the equipment to you. We arrive with our own power and water, need one flat parking space, and restore both lenses in 30–60 minutes for $50–$150 — no shop drop-off, no waiting room, and no travel fee inside 35 miles of Commerce City.

Self-contained

WHAT WE BRING WITH US

The most common question we get about mobile service is whether you need to supply anything. You don't. Everything arrives with the van.

Our own power

An onboard generator runs every tool. No outdoor outlet, no extension cord through your window.

Our own water

Wet-sanding needs a steady water supply. We carry it, so no hose hookup is required.

Full sanding stages

Progressive grits, machine polisher, compounds, and masking materials to protect your paint.

Professional UV sealant

The step that makes it last. Applied and cured on-site before we leave.

Where we work

ANYWHERE YOUR CAR IS PARKED

At home

Driveways, apartment lots, condo garages, and street parking. Our most common appointment by far — book a morning slot and it's done before lunch.

At the office

Office parks, parking structures, and downtown garages. Leave your keys at the front desk and get a text with photos when it's finished.

At the job site

Contractor trucks, service vans, and equipment yards. We work around your schedule so vehicles never leave the rotation.

All we need

    • A flat, reasonably level parking spot
    • About 3 feet of clearance at the front of the car
    • An hour where the vehicle won't need to move

When we'll reschedule

Lenses have to be dry for sanding and sealing to bond correctly, so active rain or snow means we move your appointment — free, no rebooking fee. Covered parking or a garage lets us work through almost any weather. We watch the forecast and give you as much notice as we can.

Mobile vs. drop-off

WHAT YOU ACTUALLY SAVE

The price difference matters less than the time difference. Here's the same job, both ways.

MOBILE

We drive to your vehicle.

  • ✓ Zero driving, zero waiting room
  • ✓ 30–60 minutes, once
  • ✓ Keep working while we work
  • ✓ No shuttle, ride-share, or second car needed
  • ✓ Multi-vehicle discount at one address
  • ✓ Inspect the result before you pay

SHOP DROP-OFF

You drive to them, twice.

  • ✗ Two round trips across town
  • ✗ Often a half-day without your car
  • ✗ Arranging a ride both directions
  • ✗ Waiting behind other jobs in the queue
  • ✗ Dealer pricing markup on the same work
  • ✗ UV sealant sometimes skipped — always ask

FAQ

MOBILE SERVICE QUESTIONS

More answers on the main FAQ page.

What does mobile headlight restoration mean?

+

It means the service comes to your vehicle instead of you driving to a shop. We arrive in a fully equipped van with our own generator, water supply, sanding and polishing gear, and UV sealant. You park normally at home, work, or a job site, and we do the entire restoration on the spot in 30 to 60 minutes.

Do you need an electrical outlet or a hose?

+

No. We're completely self-contained — we carry our own power and water. The only thing we need is a flat, reasonably level parking spot with about three feet of clearance in front of the vehicle so we can work around the lenses.

Can you work in an apartment complex or office parking garage?

+

Yes, and we do it constantly. Apartment lots, condo garages, office parks, and dealership back lots all work fine. If your building requires vendor notice or a permit, let us know when booking and we'll coordinate. Covered garages are actually ideal in summer.

Do I have to be there during the appointment?

+

Not necessarily. Plenty of customers leave the keys with a front desk or just point us at the car and go back to work. We'll text you before and after, send photos of the finished lenses, and you can pay by card remotely if you'd rather not come out.

What if it's raining or snowing?

+

The lens has to be dry to sand and seal properly, so active precipitation means we reschedule — at no charge. If you have a garage, carport, or covered parking, we can usually work straight through the weather. Colorado being Colorado, we watch the forecast and give you a heads-up early.

Is mobile restoration lower quality than a shop?

+

No. Headlight restoration is entirely exterior surface work on the polycarbonate lens — there's no lift, alignment rack, or diagnostic equipment involved that a shop could offer. We use the same multi-stage sanding, machine polishing, and professional UV sealant. The only real difference is that you keep your afternoon.

How far will you travel?

+

Our standard service area is everything within a 35-mile radius of Commerce City, CO — that covers 20 Denver metro and Front Range cities. Just outside that radius we'll still often come out, especially for two or more vehicles at one stop — call (303) 514-8037 and we'll tell you honestly whether the trip makes sense.

Can you do multiple vehicles at once?

+

Yes, and it's the best value we offer. Because the drive is the expensive part of mobile service, additional vehicles at the same address cost less per car. Households with two or three cars and small business fleets both benefit — ask for multi-vehicle pricing when you book.

How do I pay?

+

Card, tap-to-pay, or digital wallet on-site once you've inspected the work. Nothing is due upfront, and you see the finished lenses before you pay.

People also ask

How do I know if my headlights need restoration or replacement?

Look at where the problem is. Cloudiness on the outer surface means restoration. A crack, a broken tab, or condensation inside the housing means replacement.

How often do headlights need restoring in Colorado?

Roughly every 2–3 years with a ceramic UV sealant, and every 4–8 months if only a consumer wipe-on sealant was used. Altitude UV shortens every interval.

Do you come to my house?

Yes. We're fully mobile within 35 miles of Commerce City and bring our own power and water.

How long does the appointment take?

30–60 minutes for most vehicles, done wherever you park.
